ALLESTREE SCARECROW FESTIVAL 2026
What’s it all about?
Following the incredible success of last year’s event, the much-loved Allestree Scarecrow Festival is back! Brought to you by The Red Cow Pub, this year promises to be bigger and better as we bring the village to life with fantastic scarecrow displays and a bustling market atmosphere in support of Treetops Hospice.
The festival takes place over Sat 5th & 6th September, we warmly invite you to be part of it.
We will have our popular online Poll on the Red Cow Website so you can choose your favourite scarecrow and follow the leaderboard live online!
When is the Scarecrow Festival?
The festival takes place over the first weekend in September each year.
This year it will be Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th September.
This event is about more than just fun—it’s about giving back.
The Scarecrow Festival is proud to support Treetops Hospice, a charity that provides vital nursing care and emotional support for adults with life-limiting conditions and those who are bereaved in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
Treetops must raise over £4.7 million each year to continue its essential work, as less than 18% comes from statutory funding . Every scarecrow entry, every stall booking, and every visitor makes a real difference in helping them provide over 34,000 hours of end-of-life nursing care a year.
